Summer To-Done List

School starts tomorrow and I'm super nervous, but I also think it will be so exciting, because I'm going into 5th grade and I have a new teacher.  I'm physically ready - I have all of my stuff packed - but I'm not mentally ready.  I'm still in summer mode.
Here are some of the fun things I did this summer:
*went to Kansas City to a Royals game.
*went swimming.  A lot.
*I learned how to dive down to the bottom of the pool and put my chin on the floor.
*went to the zoo in Wichita.
*went to visit Great-Grandma in Nebraska with all of the cousins.
*had one of my best friends over a lot.
*reread The White Giraffe series of books by Lauren St. John.

School Starters

I can't believe school is starting so soon. Where has summer gone? (The vacation, the weather is still here.)

School here in Buhler, Kansas starts this year on August 18.
Now I think I speak for a lot of people around here when I say, We need rain!

It's been so hot and so dry here for so long, I think I need a break. But I can't afford to travel, so I'll just sit here in the air conditioning and look at snow pictures!

Think how fun it would be, to right now go on a trail ride in the snow!

Imagine how much snow you would have to have, for it to be that big and have all of those details.

Nebraska Road Trip!

I just got back from Nebraska. We went to see my great-grandma fast in the nursing home.
We drove there in my aunt's van packed full of luggage, snacks, drinks, my Aunt Jill, my Mom and my three cousins M an 8 year old, G a 7 year old and C a 3 year old!
My Nana, Aunt Katelyn, Uncle Scott and baby cousin E followed in my Nana's car.
We also got to explore my Nana's childhood home which is now abandoned/in ruins.

 The first photo is of a barn, the second is a broken window and tattered curtins, the third the house and the fourth the garage.
There were 2 more buildings, one was another barn. The other was a stable.

Wonderful Weekend

This weekend was absolutly fantastic! Friday Mommy, Daddy and I went out to my grandparents pond to roast hotdogs and marshmallows. Yesterday was the normal Saturday errands, Then today Mommy went to work so me and Daddy went out for lunch at Carlos O kelleys (YUM!), after that we went to my grandparents house so I could drive my go-cart in their fields. Right now Mythbusters is on and they're seeing if bamboo could grow through a person's chest as a matter of torture! Yuck!

Continued From See Ya Later Alligator

So starting from where I left off. Yesterday Mom and I went looking for alligators by the track. There is a pond at each end and a drainage ditch by one. We looked in the ditch and sure anough there was a 4 to 6 foot long alligator! Half of him was out of the water so we could see his head and most of his back! Then this afternoon Mom and I went to see if he was still there sunning himself and he was! Along with a nutrea rat. I'll post pictures but right now it's 10:45 and past bedtime

Here's something that you need to know before reading the rest of this: I am posting this from a hotel in southern Louisiana! It's like summer here. Last Wednesday, at 7:30 a.m. we left for Louisiana and arived that night.

I couldn't think of a title for this post so I just put the date. Nothing inportent has happened lately so on to the pictures! I just found out something very disapointing, on this computer I can't upload pictures. :(
Oh well I guess I will tell you about Chichi the stuffed cheetah. So around a week ago Mommy and I made this cute little stuffed cat out of pink cheetah print felt and I named her Chichi. Iwill have to post photos sometime.

Oh I almost foreot to tell you. I'm also in the middle of making some animal hand puppets for my cousins. I'll post in a little again in a little while to show you my voki and hopefully some pictures.(I'll also explain more in what voki is and give you a link to the website.)     

Happy Late Valentines Day!

Happy (late) Valentines day! How was your day yesterday? Mommy Daddy and I all went out to eat last night.
I wish the snow would go away so I could enjoy this warmer weather. It's not very effective when one is trying to play outside in celebration of it being nice out and there are big (taller than me big and I'm 4 foot tall) non-melting snow piles in your way!
Sorry for the short post but Mommy is sitting by herself in the recliner and I want to go sit with her.
